Everything reaches us at one address: support@wisatahits.blog. There is no contact form, and no set of department aliases that all forward to the same place anyway. One inbox, read and sorted by the editors who run the site.
One inbox, and who reads it
We are a small desk covering a country of thousands of islands, so we would rather you reach a person than a queue. Mail is triaged by hand every working day and passed to whoever should answer it. Put the purpose at the front of the subject line and it moves faster.
- CORRECTION for a factual error in something we published
- TIP for a story, document or lead
- PITCH for freelance ideas, press releases and embargoed announcements
- ADVERTISING for commercial and partnership enquiries
- PRIVACY for data requests and anything about your own information
We do not publish a street address. There is no front desk to visit and post would sit unopened for weeks, which helps nobody. Corrections are usually answered the same day during Jakarta hours. Pitches and commercial mail take two or three working days, and longer around Idul Fitri, when the whole country reasonably stops.
Reporting an error
Send the link, quote the sentence you think is wrong, and tell us what it should say. A source we can check ourselves is worth more than an assertion, even a confident one. Errors of fact are what we most want to hear about, including the small ones: a misspelled place name, a wrong regency, a rupiah figure converted at the wrong rate.
We fix errors in public rather than quietly. Our corrections policy sets out what counts as a correction, what counts as a clarification, and what we append to the story once it is changed.
Tips, and sending them safely
Tips are welcome in English or Indonesian. Documents, filings, tender records and budget lines are more useful than a summary of them. Tell us what you want kept out of print and we will hold to it, on the terms described in our editorial standards.
Be careful how you send it. Ordinary email exposes who wrote to whom, and we cannot protect what happens on your side of it. Do not use a work account, a work laptop or an office network. If you can encrypt your mail, send it to the same address and ask us for a key. We will not promise you a level of anonymity we do not control.
Pitches, advertising and your data
For pitches, put the news in the first two lines and the embargo time in Jakarta time. We read every press release and answer the ones we can use. Commercial enquiries go to the business side of the same inbox, and the terms we work to are on our advertising page.
Requests about your own data, including access and deletion, go to the same address with PRIVACY in the subject, and our privacy policy explains what we hold and for how long. One last thing worth saying: that email address is the only channel we run. We will never ask you for a payment or a password, and an account elsewhere presenting itself as Wisata Hits is not something we can vouch for.
